How do I install Jigsee on my phone?

My phone does not permit me to install Jigsee. How do I do this?

There may be multiple reasons for not being able to successfully install Jigsee on your device. Please make sure:
* Your date and time on the mobile device are set right
* Your device is among the supported list of devices provided on the "get jigsee" page on this site

The download of the installation keeps failing on my phone. Any way to prevent this?

This might be due to a bad quality network. Try to use another network just to download and install Jigsee (you can try to borrow a SIM from a friend on a different network or do it over WiFi!). You can also place the jar and jad files on your device via side-loading or other mechanisms and then try to install the application. Top

How do I know if my device is supported?

We have provided the list of currently tested and supported devices on the "get jigsee" page. If your device doesn't fall under the list, you can still try to download and use the application if your device resolution is supported. We are always expanding our device coverage and would be interested to know your experience on a device not already on our list. Top

What does it cost to use Jigsee?

Jigsee is a free application - free to download and free to stream content. The only charges you will have to bear are the data charges on your network. If you are already on a plan (such as 2GB for Rs.50-99/month or 100mb for Rs.5/day), your data consumption will count towards the data usage on your plan - similar to what happens when you browse the internet on your phone. What GPRS or 3G plans support jigsee?

Any 2G/3G or other data plan on your mobile will support Jigsee. You can also play jigsee content over WiFi if your device is on a WiFi network.Top

My phone keeps showing a network error or is always displaying "authorizing" when I try to use Jigsee. How can I fix this?

This means that Jigsee application is not able to access the GPRS or other internet connection on your device. Please make sure your connection and access point settings are accurate and that the application has been allowed to access the network. This can be checked on various devices via Connection Settings and Application SettingsTop

The buffering before my video starts takes way too long and there is buffering again after every minute of video played. What is the problem?

This probably indicates a very bad network, which is not allowing even our optimized algorithms to deliver video fast enough to enable smooth and continuous playback. You may want to consider checking from different locations or try out a different operator in your area. You could also call your mobile operator to put in a complaint on data speeds you are experiencing. If you feel the issue is isolated to Jigsee, and you are experiencing a good data speed otherwise, do send us a mail at feedback@jigsee.com and we will be glad to try to fix your issue. Top

My phone keeps throwing a pop-up asking me for permissions to use the file system. How do I prevent this?

You can modify the application access settings to "always allow" the permission to "read user data" and "edit user data" on the mobile device to get rid of these alerts. You can find these settings either via the options menu while browsing the applications on your device, or via an application manager under control panel or settings. Top

Jigsee application hangs or exits while I am using it. What is wrong?

Jigsee is currently in a beta version. If your phone is not yet on our supported devices list, we probably haven't gotten this right for your device yet. Do let us know your device and the exact problem you are experiencing by mailing us at feedback@jigsee.com so we can address this issue in the future. If your phone is already on our supported devices list, then our test cases haven't been exhaustive! We will fix this at the earliest - just drop us a mail with your device information, on which network you are, and a sequence of steps that lead to the issue! We are always striving to do better! There is no audio on my device. I can see the video but cannot hear a thing. How do I fix this?

Please follow the following steps: 1. Make sure you are not on "silent mode" 2. Even on other profiles/modes, go to settings->profiles-> [your current setting: General, Loud, etc]: Now check that Application Audio is set to "ON". Why is there is no video on my device after the video has buffered to 100%?

It is possible that your device does not support our video codec. Go to Menu->Settings and select the "default" encoding option on Jigsee and try again. If this does not work, let us know your device information by mailing us and we will look into the problem. Top
